During the summer we will change our focus to cricket. There wont be much news about Collingwood, so the site would be boring. So if we talk about cricket, and how shit the Poms are, it might be a bit more interesting.

SLATER DOMINATES ENGLAND
Michael Slater smashed a fiery 115 against a depleted England side in a tour match in Sydney. Slater, not initially in the NSW squad, was called up to replace Mark Waugh who pulled out with a grion strain.
He got off to a slow start early and was bogged down with Corey Richards until Slater let loose and blazed away scoring nearly four times as quick as his partner. When Richards was dismised for 7, Slater was joined by Michael Bevan (54*) and the two put on 134 for the second wicket.
When Slater was eventually dismissed, Steve Waugh came in and put on the show he promised, hitting 24* of 12 balls including 3 six's. After hitting a six to win the match, Waugh walked off the SCG with the 13, 000 strong choud chanting his name, and showing great support for their hero.
Slater was named man of the match.
WAUGH'S AXEING NOTHING BUT CRAP
Steve Waugh's shock omission from the World Cup squad has sparked one of the most bitter debates in Australian cricket.
To be honest I believe it is BULLSHIT!!!, that a player of Steve Waugh's ability could be left out of the top 30 players in Australia. If you look back to 1999 he single-handedly won us the world cup, and to think that he wont be there in 2003 is a disappointment.
But on a strong note Waugh vowed to force his way into the team, and I believe that if anyone could make it would be Steve.
